ROB is an acronym for Random Omnipotent Being. ROBs are often used as ways to set up scenarios for threads.
ROBs are less a character in their own right, and more an expression of Author Authority given form. The author of any given story needs a way to get the plot moving, in one way or another; a Random Omnipotent Being to happen along and do-- something, so a ROB does, and it does.
Examples
- A ROB changes, removes, replaces, or gives somebody something.
- ROB gives you [insert thing here]
- ROB makes somebody do something
- ROB takes you to a different universe and tells you to survive
- And others.
Type of ROBs[]
There are many different types of ROB who are used according to the thread's needs. Here are some examples.
- Random Omnipotent Bastard is a alternate ROB.
- Bored/Bastard/Bad Random Omnipotent Being or BROB: often used for roleplaying scenarios.
- Crossover Obsessed Random Omnipotent Being: Often used when the thread's scenario involves lots of crossovers between fictional universes.
